Just a little about me
PROUD MEMBER OF
I started my career at a major independent television station in New York City, and then went on to work for two public relations agencies. These experiences were great! I then struck out on my own as a freelance copywriter, communications professional, and author. I also write poetry and for three years created and produced a monthly poetry/spoken word series until the pandemic hit.
As a communications professional, I enjoy the creative process and focus on writing content that effectively delivers the desired message—in the right “voice”—and successfully achieves a client’s objectives. Some of my other strengths include research, conducting interviews, and partnering with art directors, designers, and other team members to concept dynamite marketing solutions and campaigns. Storytelling is another specialty.
I have worked in long format, short format, scripting, outdoor, electronic, social media, and even comic book content. Other related experience includes voiceover work and cohosting two radio talk shows. I have written a number of feature articles, and for more than three years I produced a monthly lifestyle column (until the publication sadly had to close its doors). This required me to do quite a bit of hands-on research, including taking a trapeze class and participating in a sweat lodge.
